The idea of developing a local Adelaide based event to showcase and increase awareness of the different health, wellbeing and natural therapies available was conceived in 2009 by Sue Shaw, owner of ESP Event Management. The first Enlighten Adelaide Festival came to fruition in February 2011 and was held at Cummins House in Novar Gardens.
The concept of the event is to celebrate the cleaner, greener, healthier and holistic side of life by presenting local spiritual therapits, artists, and health practitioners, as well as recommending alternative and natural ways to improve and balance the body, mind and soul.
The Festival provides the opportunity for visitors to try different modalities in a relaxed, comfortable and peaceful atmosphere. Various products are available for purchase, without any pressure, and visitors are encouraged to stay for the day, have lunch, a massage or holistic treatment, attend a workshop or just enjoy being in the peaceful and positive atmosphere of this blissful space.
Event Director, Sue Shaw, has a simple philosophy ; that there is enough for everyone and to work in collaboration with each other to bring about a sense of community, unity and oneness. Her focus is to provide a professional, quality and unique event.

The 2012 Enlighten Adelaide Fetival will be held on SUNDAY 28 OCTOBER 2012 at the Latvian Community Hall, 4 Clark Street, Wayville, from 10am until 5pm.
Over 50 local businesses from the health and wellbeing industry will be showcaing their products and services, as well as offering numerous Come and Try activities, workshops and demonstrations.
In addition, a variety of entertainment during the day is planned, to suit all ages, including live music, chanting, kid's drum circle, and delicious home-made organic and gluten-free goodies for lunch, herbal and chait tea, and organic fair trade coffee.
Admission is $8 per person if pre-paid online at www.enlightenadelaide.com.au or $10 on the door. Children under 12 years of age are free. Every visitor will receive a copy of the Enlighten Adelaide Guide listing the contact details of all exhibitors, a Goodie Bag filled with festival specials, and a Program of Events for the day.
